4th Annual Shred-a-Palooza Recap

Our 4th annual Shred-A-Palooza took place on Saturday, April 20th at our First Street branch and was open to the entire community. Each year we hold this free community shred event following tax season. Everyone has sensitive papers and putting them in the trash can put you at risk of identity theft. We allow our community members to bring up to five boxes of documents that they no longer need, and we shred them for free. 2019 was a record breaking year! 29,280 pounds of paper was recycled and 249 trees were saved!!

Shred-a-Palooza - Shred Volunteers helping the community

In addition to shredding, we invite the entire family to palooza which takes place in our back/drive thru parking lot.  Despite the wind, we made the best of it with several fun activities for all ages and yummy eats and treats! The kids especially enjoyed the giant bubbles and Touch-A-Trucks! Piato To Go, The Snack Shack, and Kona Ice also joined us. Q96 was live on location during the event to keep the community up-to-date with what was happening at Shred-A-Palooza. For the safety of everyone, we were unable to have inflatables due to the high winds. Our lobby was also open to the community to grab a free cup of coffee and treats plus they were welcomed to take home a pair of our famous orange sunglasses and UICCU coffee mug!
